The new year is bringing a new phase for Good and Cheap. Last year was utterly, staggeringly incredible, but would you believe that this year might be even better?
I am officially sold out of the 1st edition of Good and Cheap. We gave away over 9,000 donated copies, sold 24,000 at cost to non profits and sold another 7,000 to you! Oh, and the free PDF has been downloaded over 500,000 times so far.
But being sold out doesn’t mean this is over. It means it’s just beginning. I’m excited to announce that this summer, Good and Cheap will be in bookstores throughout the US, Canada, and the UK — and it’ll be a bigger, “gooder,” cheaper 2nd edition with over 20 new recipes and 32 new pages!
My new publisher is Workman, the force behind What to Expect When You’re Expecting, 1,000 Places to See Before You Die, many of Sandra Boynton’s books, and a tremendous list of cookbooks.
You can pre-order the book now on any of these sites:
And non-profits can pre-order and still get mega-discounts on bulk orders for their clients.
Thanks for believing in this idea and taking a chance with me. I feel so proud to be supported by all you incredible people.
Forbes 30 Under 30
Another neat thing happened. Last week, Forbes magazine named me one of their 30 Under 30 in Food & Drink! My 30th birthday was this week, so I just snuck in there!
Next week I’ll share a list of all the amazing community organizations who we’ve been working with to get Good and Cheap out to people who really need it. I can’t wait to show you the impact that we’ve made all over the country.
I hope you’ll all join me in raising a glass to our success!
